2011: Cinema
2012: The Magic World
2013: Alley of Fame
2014: Tales of Sand
2015: To Go On Safari with a Camera
2016: Cinema Characters
2017: Sandy Tales
2018: Myths and Monsters
The theme of this year’s edition of the Festival is “Favourite Children’s Characters”.
Only foreigners took part in the last year’s exhibitions, but the theme of Favorite Children’s Characters has inspired many Bulgarian authors. In total, 19 artists took part in this year’s Festival, five of which from Burgas.
The sculptures are made of a special, rain-resistant sand.
The Festival is set up on a spacious location between the tennis courts and the horse riding club, and the figures are made of 5,500 tonnes of sand.
Welcome to an outstanding Festival that is unique for Bulgaria.
The Sand Sculpture Festival will be open every day until October.
